We specialise in working with you
Translation. Language. Culture
Being sensitive to the differences between cultures is of great strategic importance to global businesses.
LSI provides intercultural communication training for almost all countries and cultures. Our training is ISO-9001:2008 certified and is subject to the QM guidelines laid out in our handbook, as well as the requirements of data protection.
LSI provides training for individuals as well as comprehensive solutions for HR departments, including all back office processes. We personally oversee every aspect of the training, from the first enquiry right up to the session itself. Participants and trainers alike should always feel supported and at ease.
In our intercultural training sessions participants develop their personal intercultural awareness. They learn to identify phenomena in international daily business that are affected by culture. They learn to avoid misunderstandings and to conduct themselves with flexibility with regard to the culture of the target country and cooperation in an international team.
Which ‘pre-programmed’ cultural values and expectations define our behaviour when interacting with colleagues and superiors from other cultures or within a multicultural team?
To what extent do intercultural differences cause potential conflicts, breakdowns in communication or delays in negotiations, meetings or international projects?
How do employees working permanently abroad manage to integrate themselves and their families into the world of work and everyday life in the target country soon after moving?
As the quality of our intercultural seminars is defined by the expertise of the trainer; we insist on the highest standards from our hand-picked and well tested team.
Our team of trainers consists of both German natives who have lived in the target country for a significant period, as well as native speakers from the target country who have lived in Germany for a long time.
Our trainers are qualified psychologists, business experts, sales people, academics, university professors, former managers of German companies, finance and IT experts, lawyers and engineers. Many of them also possess further qualifications such as certifications as coaches, international profilers and diversity trainers.
Participants can expect our seminars to be of practical relevance. The standard aspects of intercultural research and the associated terminology provide the theoretical tools for the conscious understanding of culturally conditioned behaviour.
Our trainers make good use of case studies taken from professional experience, and set up role-play situations and simulations. They also utilise films and short presentations and work on topics in small groups.
Practical intercultural behaviour training strives to create a direct connection between the material learned and the concrete challenges facing the participants in an intercultural context.
